Apple Lime Ginger Juice

This thirst quenching, and zingy juice will refresh and restore you in a matter of minutes. Alkalising, low in sugar and jam-packed with vitamins. What more can you possibly ask for?

It’s also just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! Family-friendly and completely natural.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1-2

3 medium or 4 small granny smith apples, cored
1 lime, peeled
1/2 inch fresh ginger
mint leaves (optional)
1 cup water
1 tray ice cubes
sweetener (optional)

Juicer Method
1. Put apples, lime and ginger through juicer.
2. Pour juice into glasses. Add ice and serve immediately.

Blender Method
1. Using a blender, blend all ingredients with an extra 1/2 cup of water until smooth.
2. (Optional) Pour mixture and lime juice through a fine sieve, tea towel or cheese net into a suitable container. Recover as much liquid as possible – this is your juice!.
3. Enjoy.

Note: If your juice is left uncovered, the fresh apple may oxidise, and turn a little dark. This is perfectly natural, and does not detract from the tastiness!
